To contribute articles to Oil and Gas International, it should be kept in mind that the entire focus of OGI is upstream-exploration, development, and production. We are always interested in news in these three major sectors, and invite individuals, companies, and agencies to query us about possible articles for posting in OGI.
You can get an idea of the areas of coverage by browsing through the various departments listed in our navigation bar on the homepage. Essentially, our articles are news, information, or analysis. They generally fall into the following categories: Special Features, Technical Reports, World Industry News, Exploration & Discoveries, Development & Production, Geosciences, Licensing & Concessions, Regional Spotlight, Health Safety Environment, and Company News. You may also submit events for listing in our Industry Calendar, product and service releases for our Products/Services section, and contact information about your organization if you don't find it listed under Associations.
News Releases
Please submit press releases by email to assure prompt attention. If, however, it is necessary to send them by fax or surface mail, they will be accepted. Whenever possible, graphics or photos to illustrate the release will almost always provide a better presentation of the resulting article. These may be submitted digitally as either GIF or JPEG files. Press releases should also include the name and telephone number of a spokesperson who will be able to answer questions and provide additional information.
Submissions
All articles must be submitted electronically, either on CD, disk, or by email and should be formatted in either Microsoft Word for Windows 95 or above (doc), or in ASCII text (txt.). Do not incorporate figures into the text; they should be submitted as separate files.
