Crude chases equities to 8-week high
(3/5/2010) All of our monitored benchmarks continue their rise in price per bbl to settle at their highest levels in almost eight weeks on the strength of improved employment numbers and other economic recovery news that pushed equities higher in most markets. Traders at both the InterContinental Exchange (ICE) in London and the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) thus followed those markets in hefting prices as they bought up crude along with gasoline and heating oil as employment stats were interpreted to mean that energy demand is increasing...Complete Daily Prices & Analysis
