    Prices rise on possible OPEC output cut
    (10/7/2008) Traders at both the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) and London InterContinental Exchange (ICE) sent prices back up after a four-day fall by 13%, on the strength of speculation that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will attempt to hold prices higher by reducing its total production - some say just to stay in line with member quotas but others maintain the cartel will do whatever it can to keep prices from falling below US$80 per bbl...Complete Daily Prices & Analysis
