Shale gas an industry game changer

IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) chairman Daniel Yergin calls the present focus on shale gas a potential future energy game changer. He was referring to the phenomenal growth in shale gas exploration and production in North America in the latest study out of his think tank organization of industry analysts, "Fueling North America's Energy Future - The Unconventional Natural Gas Revolution and the Carbon Agenda", which points out that shale gas reserves found over the past few years have more than doubled the size of natural gas resources discovered in the continent, enough IHS CERA says, to accommodate more than 100 years of consumption at today's rates...continue reading

Lower dollar sends crude prices ever higher
